Bellringers Yearlong assignment

Bellringer Notebook You will need a completely separate (smaller) notebook for this. Each Day Grammar Monday Newsday Tuesday What’s Going On/Poetry Wednesday Think Through Thursday Writing Prompt Friday Will be collected/checked several times per quarter (Informal grade)

Reading Logs Yearlong assignment

Reading Logs Over each 2 weeks span (14 days), you must do 30 minutes of reading at home on 10 of those nights. (Informal grade) In “monthly” section of agenda, document What was read Pages read This does NOT have to be a novel every time Magazines, internet sources, books, newspapers, etc.. VIDEO content does not count

Carry Around Books Yearlong requirement

Carry Around books Everyone is required to have reading material on them during school Finish early, etc… In school reading will NOT be counted toward nightly reading logs We will go to the media center for book check out as soon as possible

Article of the Week Yearlong assignment

Article of the Week (AoW) Will be given/assigned every Monday (unless we have a Monday holiday) Assigned task will be due Thursday (Informal grade) (unless Thursday is a holiday) Task will be vary but will mostly involve some writing Article can be counted as one of your nightly readings Can be turned in early (Turn-in bins)
