The Writing Process

Choosing a Topic Make a list of each of the topics that comes to mind Gather and sort through the topics and information you chose. Chose a topic that is promising and easy to explain. Chose a topic that will interest both you and your reader and consider the important information on the topic and what you are trying to get across to the reader.

Researching a Topic If you chose a topic and you already know a lot of information on the topic you should still do additional research and find more information on your topic. You should consult with experts on the topic if needed. Focus on your explanation and knowledge on the topic Confirm why you decided to focus on that topic Draft a clear thesis statement Consider using visuals for your such as graphs, etc.

Drafting: First you must make goals before writing so you can work better

Organizing a Draft- Make outline of all topic you want to cover in the draft and give info to back it. Think about how the reader will react when they read it. Come up with a thesis statement that makes the point of your essay clear Outline what information will go into each paragraph so your writing will come more easily and you will know what to talk about.

Revising Read the draft through first and think about any impressions or suggestions that come to mind. Think of ways to make it better. Check for sentence structure and grammar to make sure that everything flows and makes sense Read it as if you were the audience and think of any way to make it better Most importantly make sure everything makes sense and that the information and points are clear to understand.

Reflecting on what you have learned A writer must keep in mind when writing an essay a writer must chose a topic, research the topic, complete a draft, organize the draft and then revise the draft so therefore, they can complete a perfect paper and receive a perfect grade.
