What is a Rainforest? What is a rainforest? A rainforest is a place where half of all the animals of the world live. What is a Rainforest?
Location of the Rainforests Rainforests are located in North America, South America, Asia and Africa.
Emergent Layer The Emergent Layer has the trees that emerge above the top of the rainforest canopy. It has many of the birds there too.
Canopy layer The Canopy layer has a lot of animals like monkeys, boas, sloths, lizards, toucans, and butterflies.
Understory Layer The understory is the lowest layer in the rainforest. Some animals live there too such as jaguars, snakes, butterflies, anteaters, katydids, and poison dart frogs.
