What is Capstone? The Capstone course for long distance student teachers is designed using TaskStream. Upon completion this electronic based course provides students with a Presentation ePortfolio and access to educational online assistance.

What is TaskStream? Check out the TaskStream site: www.taskstream.com TaskStream catalogues and organizes student work in a DRF ePortfolio. ePortfolios designed by the student and by professional educators are stored for future use.

CAPSTONE ASSIGNMENTS? Capstone assignments vary by semester but include weekly submissions on the Course Assignment DRF addressing two areas: Textbook reflections Discussions See the Class Assignments handout which provides due dates for semester assignments. Textbook reflections should not be major papers but cover what you learned from the chapter. It is hoped you will be able to reflect on the chapter’s benefits to the present student teaching assignment. Discussions are hosted by the students. The discussion topics are to be used as a prompt but students can post other topics as they need. See detail explanation of the Resource Section in the Class Assignment slide.
