SUMMER MATH CURSE OF 2017 BY ISHAAN GULATI

MATH CURSE PROBLEM #1 At the beginning of the summer I was given $150 for earning good grades. In the summer I wanted to buy a razor go-kart. When I looked for the go-kart on Amazon, it was $269 plus tax. My mother said she would match dollar for dollar for what I had. Also, my mom told me that in Maryland, we pay 6% tax on things we buy. So what will my total be for my go-kart including tax? Do I have enough money for the go-kart? If I don’t have enough, how much more money do I need? If I do, how much do I have left?

MATH CURSE PROBLEM #2 My big brother Katen and I were eating pizza from Pizza Hut. I had ¼ of the pizza and my brother had 2/8 of the pizza. How many more slices do we have to eat to finish the box?

MATH CURSE PROBLEM #3 I had 6 baseball games in the summer. Game # 1 lasted 2 hours and 5 minutes. Game #2 lasted 1and 45 minutes. Game#3 lasted 2 hours and 14 minutes. Game #4 lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes. Game #5 lasted 1 hour and 56 minutes. Game #6 lasted 2 hours and 25 minutes. The question is how many minutes did I play this past summer?
