Hastings Direct’s Community Programme

Hastings Charity Committee Three/Four Charity Partners per year Fundraising events – raising funds – approx. £20,000 per annum. Practical and Professional assistance Strict Criteria Must be a registered charity. Must be within 20 miles of a Hastings Direct office. Must not be in receipt of government and/or lottery funding Hastings must be able to support financially, practically and professionally Our money will be assigned to specific projects of the charity rather than the day-day bills

Hastings Helping Hand Scheme Monthly grants scheme to support individuals, community groups and other charities Criteria: - The application for assistance is within a 40 mile radius of a Hastings site The maximum an application will received is £500, however we aim to support as many applications as possible, not fund them totally. When reviewing the applications, it will be discussed how we can help financially, practically – via community days and professionally – do we have the skills in house to assist the community group. Our aim is to assist community groups, charities and other individuals making a difference to the community they serve.

Hastings Community Programmes Working with local business to keep business local. Sponsor the town biggest annual event – Bexhill Carnival Week. Work with education to ‘Bridge the Gap’ between education and employment. Support community providers with employability session if required.
