Definition of Checkout Checkout is a training method which: Allows the mentor and disciple to know what “Mastery” is Gives the disciple opportunity to practice skills in simulated and practical situations as well as providing immediate feedback from the mentor, focused on improvement

Purpose of Checkout A To help the disciple strive for “mastery” in ministry B To help the disciple reach the level of ability necessary to be considered adequately trained. C To help prepare the disciple to be a mentor of others

The Mentor’s Responsibility in Checkout Cleary communicate assignments Help disciples apply ministry skills in real life situations Maintain a proper attitude toward the training experience Not all disciples are alike, adjust your training according to their bent
