Galosi, Francesco Montorsi, Marina Scarpelli  European Urology  Volume 66, Issue 4, Pages 623-627 (October 2014) DOI: 10.1016/j.eururo.2014.02.054 Copyright © 2014 European Association of Urology Terms and Conditions

Fig. 1 Healthy seminal vesicle. Immunohistochemistry with p63 highlights the basal cell layer (inset). European Urology 2014 66, 623-627DOI: (10.1016/j.eururo.2014.02.054) Copyright © 2014 European Association of Urology Terms and Conditions

Fig. 2 Solid adenocarcinoma with extensive necrosis involving the seminal vesicle. Prostate-specific membrane antigen immunohistochemistry highlights the prostatic nature of the neoplasm (inset). Fig. 3 Seminal vesicle. (a) At low magnification, the lining of the ductal and acinar structures is thicker than the surrounding normal ducts with obliteration of the acinar lumen. (b) At high magnification, there is nuclear stratification. A reliable distinction of the basal cells from the luminal cells was not feasible in the section stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Immunohistochemistry with (c) p63 and (d) p53 highlights a thickened basal cell layer.
