Quickwrite 8 Minutes On the paper provided, respond to the following question: What does the word “home” mean to you? How is it different from “house”? Where is the place you are most at home? Describe it.

Maniac Magee Activity 1 Independently read chapter one of the text. After reading complete the R.A.F.T. Writing Prompt Role: Choose to be either Aunt Dot or Uncle Dan Format: Friendly Letter Audience: Jeffery Magee Topic: Jeffery, We want you to come home. We promise to change our ways and our behaviors. Remember to cite specific incidences from the text. Remember to write in first person.

Maniac Magee Activity 2 Read chapters 3 through 5 and focus and on the t-chart , chart the characters that Jeffery “Maniac” Magee meets on the East side and West Side of Two Mills. Your t-chart should include the following information: The characters name, a description of their first impression of Magee, and a quote from the character expressing their thoughts about their first interaction with Magee.
