BSW Changes Changes to: A/B/C Teams D Team PGY-3 Night Float All changes go into effect 06/11/18 to allow trial period prior to work out kinks before new interns start

BSW Wards Changes Relaxed Geo-Loco New Admissions Rules A, B, and C team can now be assigned beds anywhere on 7N Team caps are still 14, 14, and 10 respectively Bounce-backs can still go to other floors if there isn’t room on 7N New Admissions Rules Upper Levels are to page the MOD (7448) in the morning with approximately how many beds will be discharged MOD will assign patients to teams on a rotating basis Upper Levels are to page again in the afternoon to confirm how many patients they can take, or to notify MOD if they are capped

BSW Wards Changes D Team No longer Cards Wards! General medicine population No longer Geo-Loco to STC-2 / 4S! Patient cap of 14 Admission window from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with cap of 4 admissions per day, excluding bounce-backs Team room stays the same Upper Level still responsible for contacting Case Managers / Social Workers / Discharge Assistants for patients daily PRN discharge planning

BSW PGY-3 Night Float Changes Modified Rules Admissions can be assigned to the teaching service until 12:00 AM All admissions for empty beds after midnight, including bounce-backs or late ICU transfers / AMA discharges / deaths, will be done by M Team and assigned to the teaching teams in the morning Still up to 10 admissions per night, hard cap per ACMGE rules PGY-3 expected to stay until all patients are “tucked in” and check-out provided to the intern regarding all new admissions

Reminders for the End of the Year All 12 hours of CME must be turned in by the end of June Risk Management Modules completed People Place modules due June 1st Interns Make sure Mini-CEX must be completed by the end of the year 3rd Years You will have an exit form that needs to be completed prior to leaving on to your next step This will be on New Innovations this year.

PGY-3 Board Review June 4-8 Starts at 7:30AM ends b/w 4-5PM. Breakfast and Lunch provided No Phones 

Fun Stuff Graduation Dinner Graduation Day This will take place at Pignetti's at 7:00PM Cocktail Dress is required: Dress Pants, Jacket, tie optional, NO JEANS, NO SCRUBS, NO SHORTS, NO FLIP-FLOPS Graduation Day Need to be at Mayborn at 11:00AM for graduation pictures Prelim Residents need to be here also at the same time for graduation pictures Lunch will follow pictures All seniors have the day off today to be with family, so long as they attend graduation Clinic blocked from 11AM-2PM so residents can attend
