TIME FRAMES 20 Days for retiree or separating individuals with SPD code 30 days for individuals stationed overseas or non- conus resident not stationed at home of record
RULES OF PTDY Liberty weekends, special liberty or holidays are not to be combined with days authorized for jobs or house hunting It can be taken in conjunction with chargeable leave at no cost to the government. However, it should not exceed 30 days in total. It can be taken at once or in increment, except in cases of disability retirement or separation with time constraint.
Excessive Leave is not available for retirees No more than 30 days can be granted
NOTE Granting of PTDY/ TAD (excess leave) works at command’s discretion and is subject to mission requirement and unit commander’s approval.
