Discussion Questions for Chapters 7-9 Why do you think Ralph is content to follow Jack through the pig-run? Explain what Ralph means when he says, “Be sucking my thumb next.” What about Simon makes Ralph think he is batty? What do you think of Ralph’s characterization of the hunters as “boys armed with sticks”? Explain whether or not you think Jack should have called his own assembly.
