Presentation transcript:

With a person next to you, share the objectives for today! Learning Targets: I can explain and describe what the scientific method is. Today’s Class I can create a hypothesis using the “if and then” format with IV & DV in mind. I can use the scientific method to test the claims of different products.

AGENDA: HW Check Review Scientific Method Paper Towel Lab

SCIENTIFIC METHOD:

BEFORE YOU START: BEFORE YOU START: CHECK IN WITH ME Do you have background info done for everyone in your group? Do you have a hypothesis completed with the because done? Not everyone’s hypothesis have to be the same. Do you have your procedures written with a simple drawing for it? Based on the video, are you testing only one variable? What are your controls/constants?

DURING THE EXPERIMENT: DATA COLLECTION – Do you have a data table ready to go? TRIALS – How many times do you have to do it to be reliable? ERRORS – Were there human errors that you needed to take into account?

IF YOU ARE DONE EARLY: If you are done early… CHECK IN WITH ME Do you want to test a different variable? What is that variable? Different liquid, different sizes, more brands? Do you have a NEW hypothesis completed with the because done? Not everyone’s hypothesis have to be the same.

Learning Targets: How did you do these three (3) learning targets today? Be specific. I can explain and describe what the scientific method is. Today’s Class I can create a hypothesis using the “if and then” format with IV & DV in mind. I can use the scientific method to test the claims of different products.

HOMEWORK: GREAT JOB ON THE QUIZ! ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND… GET READY TO WORK HARD AGAIN NEXT WEEK!
