Centralized Kindergarten Admissions Johnny Giles Chief of Staff March 15, 2016

Huntsville City Schools Kindergarten Registration is Underway Parents of children who are currently attending HCS Pre-K program will need to complete InfoSnap for their child as a NEW student. Registration will be completed at their ZONED school. Flyers are being sent home this week.

Process for New Students to Huntsville City Schools (Not Currently in HCS Pre-K) Will Be Centralized Parents Need To: Complete InfoSnap Attend one of the scheduled Kindergarten Admissions events.  Note:  It does not matter which location or date they attend.  Child will still be assigned to their currently zoned school.  Submit the following documents at the admissions event: Proof of Residency – 2 documents to include the following: Lease/Deed/Mortgage Other official document to demonstrate current residency, including but not limited to a Utility/Cable/Landline bill Proof of student’s age Immunization “BLUE” Card (This must be done in advance at the doctor’s office or the Madison County Health Department) Photo Identification of parent/guardian/custodian Once registration actions are complete, student will be STAR tested on site (this should take approximately 10 minutes)

Multiple Locations and Dates for Kindergarten Admissions Will Be Offered Around the City Time Monday, March 28 Showers Center  9am - 6pm Wednesday, March 30 Williams Elementary School Thursday March 31 Huntsville Center for Technology    Monday, April 4 Showers Center Wednesday, April 6 Goldsmith Schiffman Elementary School Thursday, April 7 Huntsville Center for Technology Monday, April 11 Wednesday, April 13 Westside Center Thursday, April 14 * Parents may choose whichever location/date is most convenient to them.
