Superhero Newsletter Ms. Pitts’ 4/25/2017 Important Dates April 28th – Donuts with Dad May 4th – Musical Explorers Field Trip May 5th – Muffins with mom Classroom News Students will only receive math homework for the next two weeks. No reading or spelling homework will go home. If you have not done so, please remind your child to give me the donuts for dads slip. I need accurate counts to buy supplies. Continue to read with your child nightly. Please turn in field trip forms for the Musical Explorers Filed Trip on may 4th, if you have not done so already. Field Day is May 9th. Please be sure to return progress reports if you haven’t already Parents’ Corner Continue to practice for the upcoming DIBELS and mClass testing on May 1st to May 19th. Please be sure to return progress reports if you haven’t already Please turn in the make-up ELA and Social Studies tests for grading by the end of this week, 4/28. The test over Unit 5 for math will be given next week. Review rods and units with your child. What We Are Learning: Review of all units covered this year Lulu Walks The Dogs Unit 6: fractions and shapes Magnets Phonics ELA Math Science Reminders: DIBELS testing window opens May 1st. We will be testing all throughout the month of May. School is still in full swing. Remember to complete all homework with your child. It is still a grade. How parents can help this week: Read books with your child Study Nonsense Words Go over number sense activities with your child to prepare for end of the year DIBELS testing
