Clinical Laboratory Service Enhancements Clinical Pathology Quality Dashboard Clinical Laboratory Service Enhancements Prostate Cancer Antigen 3 (PCA3) is available through the CLIA-licensed laboratory section of the Michigan Center for Translation Pathology. The HLA Laboratory has submitted flow cytometry crossmatch data to the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) for final validation. Daniel Ramon, Ph.D. formerly of Northwestern University, has joined the Department of Pathology as an Assistant Professor and Director, HLA Laboratory.

Clinical Laboratory Operations Initiatives Clinical Pathology Quality Dashboard Clinical Laboratory Operations Initiatives Recipients (licensed care providers) of Critical Value Callbacks will be ascertained by new CareWeb application – beginning October 11 – 15 will constitute an audit period. The new web-based Department of Pathology Employee Recognition Program is live. This site is accessible via the Department of Pathology Home Page. The Department of Pathology proposed to create a Blood Donation Unit on-site at UMHS. If fully implemented, this initiative will increase blood donations in Southeastern Michigan and will reduce annual blood product costs to the UMHS.
