This world ain’t perfect…

Dystopia is the opposite of Utopia which means “a perfect society.” A dystopia would be an imperfect society.

A Totalitarian government Propaganda is used to control the citizens. Takes place in the future A Totalitarian government Propaganda is used to control the citizens. Information, independent thought, and freedom are restricted.

More elements of a dystopia A figurehead is worshipped by the citizens. Citizens seem to be under steady “surveillance.” Citizens fear the outside world.

Citizens live in a dehumanized state. The natural world is banished and distrusted. Individuality is bad.

Feel trapped and is struggling to escape. Questions the existing situation. Believes or feels that something is terribly wrong with the society. Helps the audience recognizes the negative aspects of the dystopian world through his or her perspective.

What is a Logical Fallacy? An error in thinking or reasoning
