What was the 1905 revolution? The 1905 revolution was a mass wave of mass political and social unrest that spread through Russia some of it was directed to the to the government The 1905 revolution included the following Military mutinies Strikes 3) Protests Russia had been in a low moral after losing the russo-Japanese war and after the event of bloody Sunday took place the 1905 revolution was a bi-product of those events

What caused the revolution Russia had poor working and living conditions they would be charged with heavy taxes and did not have sufficient land to provide for their needs Russian workers had to work long hours and because of this Russia was going through social unrest And were not happy with their living conditions couple these factors and losing a the russo-Japanese war caused for the need of change A petition was created to resolved these issues and was to be presented to the tsar Nicholas This was bloody Sunday, bloody Sunday was a peaceful demonstration to gain rights and was lead By father Gapon men women children and elderly took part in hope for change but upon arriving to The winter palace (where the tsar resides) they were slaughtered because of this there were mass sympathy strikes, riots, anger and discontent shared throughout Russia Lack of equality Poor working conditions Low country moral Injustice

Who took part in the 1905 revolution Sailors Military Workers Peasants Other countries even joined in on the revolt such as Finland and Georgia

What happened as a result of the 1905 revolution? The results of the Russian 1905 revolution was the October manifesto in this is showed some of the reforms and changes to law that the tsar would take part in After the 1905 revolution the duma was created ( a form of government to remove autocracy) And a Russian 1906 constitution was established known as fundamental laws and have Russia a limited constitutional monarchy

How could it have been prevented? One of the main reasons why this revolution started was because there was nothing done about the problems Russian peasants and Russian workers were experiencing. The living conditions were very poor the lack of food was also a factor and the long working hours. If the tsar had addressed even a few of these issues the incentive to revolt would not exist by resolving a few of the problems stated, it would show the people of Russia that the tsar knows about the problems that his people were undergoing and it would show his people that yes “the little father” did in fact care for the wellbeing and was doing something to make the quality of life better for them, but of course the opposite was done showing the abandonment Russia’s leader had toward his people through the unjust killings of the bloody Sunday.
