Concept Development Selection Criteria: Below are the criteria pulled from customer and engineering requirements that the components of the system should be chosen and compared to based on their individual capabilities. These selection criteria are: Data Transmission Rate Data Transfer Range Durability Ease of Execution of Programming Sampling Rate Easy to Use Latency of System Set-Up Compactness Storage Space/Memory Low Cost Accuracy/Precision of Samples Dylan

Concept Selection Pugh Diagram Overall Concept +/- of Concept Selections Anthony Ballister We have 4 major design concepts including our Datum Briefly go over applicable fields and their importance to the project
Concept Selection Hardware Interfacing Displaying the state of device Mounting the device Jehad This is one of many various subsystems that is involved in our project. We are only showing one datum because it would take too much space to show the various datums, we have an excel spreadsheet that has all the different datum alterations. I’m not going to go through the selection criteria, I will mention that by just looking at the different options for displaying the state of the device. Visualizing alternating the datum it can be seen that the LED is the best option. The same can be said in regards to rubber feet for mounting the device.

Concept Selection Power system Powering device Activate device Jehad I’m not going to go through the selection criteria, I will mention that by just looking at the different options for Activating the device and visualizing alternating the datum it can be seen that either the button or slide switch are the best options. The same can be said in regards to AC power for powering the device.
Sensors Feasibility Jehad This leads into the next feasibility slide

Risk Management Jehad These are the risks involved in the project which we touched on during the last presentation, the only update that was made was in regards to the app development aspect of the project.
Plans for the Next Phase • Determine wireless method • Determine final hardware inputs • Compile a bill of materials • Develop a set of tests to satisfy the engineering requirements • Look into PCB microcontroller design • Research application development tools • Investigate user friendly displays for the application • Determine final mobile platform for the application • Research robust packaging option and costs • Update team with all aspects of the project Anthony Ballister
