The Architect Selection Process RFQ and selection for Interview Ten Architectural firms with a local presence were solicited for proposals Nine firms responded The 9 proposals were then given to the Selection Committee prior to the first meeting for their review During the first meeting with the Committee, the 9 firms are discussed in detail. The Committee then narrowed the field of architects to 4 firms. The 4 firms follow a detailed agenda as they prepare for their interviews to the Committee.

The Architect Selection Process Interview Stage Prior to the first interview, the Committee ranks each category with an importance factor In the interview process, each firm is given 40 minutes to present. 30 minutes to introduce their firm and 10 minutes to answer the Committee’s questions Once each firm is done presenting, the Committee enters their grades into a comprehensive matrix spreadsheet that ranks each firm with a raw and weighted score This particular matrix conveyed very close scores in both the raw and weighted categories, identifying the need for an additional round of due diligence
