Presentation transcript:

Anzac Day Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that generally commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders “ that served and died in all wars, clash, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served"

Anzac Day is one of Australia’s most important national commemorative odds. It marks up the anniversary of the first major military operation fought by Australian and New Zealand troops during the WW1.

Dawn Service? Anzac Day remembrance takes two forms. Commemorative services are held at dawn – the time of the original landing in Gallipoli – across the nation. Later in the day, ex-servicemen and women meet to take part in marches through the major cities and in many smaller centres. Commemorative ceremonies are more formal and are held at war memorials around the country.

ANZAC DAY MARCH The aim of the Sydney ANZAC Day March is to give the participating veterans and the general public an opportunity to honour those who served in the defence of Australia or its interests, especially remembering those who paid the supreme sacrifice or otherwise suffered as a result of their service.
