Liam Crowley and Jacob Strick The inquisition. Liam Crowley and Jacob Strick

What had happened was In 1478, the Spanish inquisition took place to force religious uniformity onto the public In 1542, the roman inquisition had started This inquisition was used as a court to fight Protestantism They tried protestants, accused witches, and for breaking church laws People were tortured during these trials

Who was involved The Roman catholic church started the roman inquisition The Protestants were the ones being targeted Accused witches were also involved Anybody who was or has broken church law

This shows religious disunity in Europe because, People wanted to be all types of religions but the roman catholic church would not allow it. They were fearful because, they thought they would lose power in Europe. Also, every religion is die hard about what they believe in, so they will go out of their way to crush other religions, since the church has all the power, they can punish people for not believing in the “right religion”.
