Space colony

Warm-up 5-16-16 1. A science student looks at hundreds of organism cells under a microscope and reads articles describing cells, their structure, and their functions. What can the student correctly conclude from her investigation that supports cell theory? Most cells are not necessary for carrying on life functions in living things. All organisms are multi-cellular When one of the organism’s cells die, the organism dies as well. Cell function is similar in all living things.

Mars One Mission Where are you going to go and how are you going to get there? What is going to power your mission? What is your food supply?

What is needed? Checklist: Water Food (flow of Energy) Sunlight Items to ask myself: Where Am I building:   Items needed at the location:   Items present at the location:   How will you get the needed items at your location that are not present at your location?   How many people will live in this colony?   How long will it take to build/get there?   Will I need electricity? Checklist: Water Food (flow of Energy) Sunlight Temperature Atmosphere (CO2, O2, N2) Protection from elements Energy for electricity Will all of my items fit in the classroom
