RIVETS

RIVETS These are a permanent mechanical fastener coming in the form as cylindrical metal part (usually mild steel) with a head on one end and is usually used for permanently fixing 2 pieces of sheet or thin metal together. Both pieces of metal have to be pressed against each other, the rivet has to be passed through a hole on both pieces and then with the rivet being securely in the hole against the head side, the other end is secured in the hole by a specific method This method can be either hammering the end of the rivet over, drawing the tail of the rivet out - both mushroom the other end over and permanently fix the rivet in place or splitting the rivet.

Types of Rivet we could see
