Early’s Shenandoah Campaign July –October 1864 CSA Gen. Jubal Early attempts to disrupt Grant’s Overland Campaign. Eventually routed at Battle of Cedar Creek.

Siege of Petersburg 1864-1865

Battle of the Petersburg Crater July 30, 1864 Union troops/miners blow up section of Rebel defenses. How could this go wrong???? Yep, It did.

Battle of Mobile Bay August 5, 1864 Adm. David Farragut, Union Navy. Defeats CSA fleet, then forces surrender of both defensive forts.
