Visual Story Network Strategic Planning #2 SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS Strengths Global vision Growing, enthusiastic base of visual communicators representing a large of amount of human capital Increasingly connected base of visual communicators A culture of trust, lack of competition, openess to share Living in an era of rapid technological change Gaps Leadership capacity. Those equipped to help foster the movement have very little time to do so. Clear project models to motivate and involve VSN participants No compelling advocacy to key audiences and influencers. Too USA centric No global infrastructure Funding gap #1 DIRECTION Purpose: The Visual Story Network is a coalition of missional and creative Christians. Together we seek to fuel a global movement of visual story for the kingdom of God so every person on earth can experience life-change through Jesus. Promote best practices and products Equip God’s people to create and use visual story Values •Relational. We will build relationships of trust and integrity. •Stewardship. Avoid duplication, •Kingdom unity & willingness to share. •Open handed. Avoid competitiveness, resolve conflicts biblically. •Kingdom first, commerce second. VSN will have a non-commercial culture. We will not have specific sponsors or products that we rely on, nor will participants see this as a commercial opportunity. •Level playing field. Each participant is expected to cover their own costs at events. Since participation is entirely voluntary, VSN will work hard to make participation accessible in terms of cost. Provide opportunities to connect and collaborate #4 CRITICAL PATH STEPS Advocate for the need for visual story Training Platforms Tools Events, Online #3 CRITICAL MASS How much will it take to get started? What do we need just to break gravity? #5 RESOURCE RELEASE (Getting enough of the right resources at the right time) Leaders Strategy Group team members Funding
