What is perspective in literature? Perspective is particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view.

Your assignment: Avi writes this novel from the perspective of a 13 year-old peasant boy who lives during the middle ages. Choose a scene from the book and rewrite it through the perspective and point of view of the other character(see the next slide for scene choices). Example: Poor Asta’s son. His mother was the only thing in the world he could call his own. I had no choice but to assist him in covering her in a shroud and carry her through the dismal dripping downpour.
