Perspective Major Project

SCALE 4 I can create a three point perspective drawing of an exterior place that demonstrates my understanding of orthogonals, transversals, vanishing point, and horizon line. 3 I can create a two or one point perspective drawing of an exterior place that demonstrates my understanding of orthogonals, transversals, vanishing point, and horizon line. 2 I can create a perspective drawing that demonstrates my understanding of some of the indicators that mark a perspective drawing. 1 I cannot create a perspective drawing that demonstrates my understanding of some of the indicators that mark a perspective drawing.

ARTIST STUDY – RORIK SMITH Dedicated to the solution of visual problems, the development and application of graphical representation systems to investigate and record the character of collections, objects, environments and individuals of personal or demonstrable significance. http://www.roriksmith.co.uk

Rorik Smith The incredible effects achieved in his disorienting illustrations are drawn with graphite pencils on-site without aid from photographic reference material or digital manipulation. Smith seems to introduce polarized coordinates at random locations in each drawing and then bends the perspective of the surrounding areas to match.

In your sketchbook… Are you creating a 3, 2 , or 1 point perspective work? Where are you pulling inspiration from? What time period will you be working from?

Let’s answer these questions for the following works: - 3, 2 , or 1 point perspective work? Where are they pulling inspiration from? What time period are they working from?
