STF 370 Overview Automated Interoperability Testing (for distributed systems) EC funded STF composed of 3 work packages WP1: Methodology and Framework WP2: IMS case study based on use of TTCN-3 WP3: Dissemination Deliverables EG on Auto IOT Methodology TR on Specific Architectures (i.e., IMS core network IOT case study) TR on (IMS) Plugtest experience Training material (MISC WI) EC reports STF will end Jun 2010 Currently still 4 experts active 2 more STF sessions planned

WP1 & WP2 Status First two work packages have been essentially completed 2009 Deliverables (1 EG & 2 TRs) have been approved and published IMS IOT test system has been implemented in cooperation with TC INT and successfully validated at IMS PLU3 Feedback on test descriptions provided to TC INT Used at event in offline mode, i.e., for IOT trace analysis 309 interoperability tests have been analysed with this tool during event Following a MTS rapporteur’s meeting in Nov the STF has produced a CR for MTS #50 on EG 202 237 (Generic approach to IOT) in order to position it better in respect to EG 202 810 (Framework & Methodology for Auto IOT) Product certification vs. standard validation Open source distribution of codec and adapter code still has to be investigated Likely to be in same place as ETSI t3q and t3d tools

WP3 Status Work started in Nov 2009 Objective is to generate training material and a white paper on automated interoperability testing Training material is well advanced Part 1: General Presentation of Auto IOT Methodology (25 slides) Part 2: Walk-through of Interoperability Test System Development Process in context of TTCN-3 and IMS core network IOT (80 slides) Part 3 (planned): Auto IOT Exercises Current drafts uploaded as MTS#50 contribution 11 Proposal for Auto IOT Tutorial submitted to T3UC 2010 Likely to be a stripped down version of part 2 Work on white paper has started but still in early drafting stage Will be focus of remaining sessions
