Conflict Man ~vs~ Man

Author’s purpose Inform

Characters Main character: Simon He is the one that is trying to help out the kids. Minor character: Lucy Lucy is one of the kids. Josiah is one of the kids too. Lucy and Josiah’s dad their dad trys to find them and finally found them.

Sequence of events 1. Lucy and Josiah got told to stay away from Simon. 2. Josiah is in trouble so he has to sit on a stool with one leg. 3. The kids are walking home and Lucy is singing a song and she figures out they are getting followed. 4.The kids get lost in the snow and they get helped by Simon and they are scared cause they got told to stay away from him. 5.The kids dad finds them and takes them home and their mom invites Simon to eat dinner with them.

summary Simon is too slow to learn, so he doesn’t attend school. His odd expressions and hulking presence frighten people, and some even think he’s dangerous. STAY AWAY FROM SIMON! All the children are warned. But today he’s in the schoolyard, laughing and playing in the falling snow. when the heavy snowfall causes school to close early, Lucy and her younger brother walk home together. Singing a counting song to make the long walk more fun, they hear a deep voice behind them, echoing their song. 1 2 buckle my shoes. Lucy stops and turns. It’s Simon! is he following them.

Dislike’s and like’s I don’t like the way Simon is untrusting in the beginning. But in the middle he gets trusting. I like the way the kids mom and dad ask Simon to eat dinner with them.
