Gizmos from Explore Learning, etc.) –Student/Teacher Dialogue (WIKIs, bulletin boards, iEarn, Athena, etc) –Student Research and/or writing (Databases, Embedded comment tools in Microsoft Word, etc.) –Student Presentations (Audacity, Finale, Reason, etc.) –Worksheets (Quia, WebAssign, Logger Pro, etc)

Implementation Details Class of Rising 6 TH GRADE Laptops go home November 5, 2007 Laptops will be acquired in June and used during Summer and Fall Students are responsible for due care Accidental Damage & Theft Insurance is included Class of 2015 – 3 year program - $1 buyout

–No non-academic use except under faculty and staff direction. –Laptops must always be in their cases when not in use. When in cases, the laptops can be in one of 3 locations: –With a student –In a locker –Inside a backpack –Laptop may only be left against the wall outside a room if it is in a case that is inside a backpack.
Rules for on Campus Use –In class use is up to the teacher as either optional use, required use, or forbidden use –No laptop use during break or lunch recess - even in the library –Students can only print if they have a teachers permission.
Rules for on Campus Use –The laptop is permitted during the school day in: The Classrooms The Library The Amphitheatre –After school use is limited to: The library and designated laptop areas The amphitheater 10 th period study hall or DSH ***These areas will all be supervised.
With Power Comes Responsibility Laptop Drivers License Monitoring by: –Students –Teachers, Ms. Ellis, Ms. Morrison, Recreation and Tech Staff, Faculty, and Ms. Neff
