Carbon footprint In this activity, you will learn about something called “carbon footprint” and how our carbon footprint is contributing to climate change.

Do Your Part to Make It Right! As a rookie agent, you have been awarded the MIR shield but you will need to earn your stars by completing all your missions. You have 45 minutes. Join the ranks of M.I.R to become a full-fledge MIR agent! Earn stars by completing the missions, which will then be added to your badge shield.

Instructions for game play Step 1: Login with user id and password: <school name> Step 2: Point your tablet’s camera at this poster to begin the trail. You will be asked to look for some information on the poster and key it into the app before you can move on.

Energy Transport Water Waste There will be 4 stations in total. Look for the target images placed around the school. Here’s a glimpse of what to expect at each station! Energy – shoot down statements that are incorrect. Points will be deducted for shooting down correct statements! Transport – Choose the option that has a lower carbon footprint Water - Find items and bring it to the correct place to use them Waste – Shoot the recyclables into the appropriate bins Water Waste

Control buttons Left control set Left main button - functions as start button for games and as other functional game controls – e.g. shoot, fire, use, etc. depending on the game. Four ring buttons - function as game controls; functions will vary depending on the game.   Right control set Right main button - functions as AR camera control; toggles the AR camera on and off Four ring buttons - Top button opens message screen for reading messages, Left button resets game Right button exits game

Important rules Read the instructions on the device to play the game well. Not reading the instructions carefully may cause you to waste time and result in not completing all the stations. Do not rush through the trail. This is not a race. Work together as a team and do not fight over the device. Take care of the mobile device. When moving around the school, do not run and push, do not go near hazards or disturb any dangerous animals like bees or wasps.

Think – Pair – Share Do you have a part to play in destroying the environment? How do you feel after watching the video? Have you understood the consequences of our actions on the environment? What can you do to save the environment? What is your motivation of doing the above?

Think – Pair – Share We should develop empathy for the environment. We should move beyond empathy and take actions to bring about real change. We must never be afraid to do the right things Everyone has a part to play in conserving the environment. Small efforts can make a big difference.

Desired Actions The Earth is our home. Reflect on one’s action on the environment regularly. Be prudent with the use of resources at all times. Protecting our environment require our collective efforts.
