Interactive Student Notebook-Purpose & Procedure Q. What is the purpose of my notebook? A. The purpose is to enable you to be a creative & critical thinker and writer. It will be used to encourage you to record factual information in an organized, logical fashion and to work with and process the information in ways that will help you better understand history.

Q. What stuff goes on the left-hand (even numbered) pages and what stuff goes on the right-hand (odd-numbered) pages? A. Left Side Right Side 3 2 Tuesday 8/17/13 Warm-Up: RS Notes: As soon as you enter the room, write the warm-up question AND the answer here. Answers should be 2-3 sentences long. All in-class notes & activities go here. Processor: Either do the processing assignment directly on this paper or glue the homework paper onto this space (unless asked to do otherwise).

Q. Is neatness important? A. Absolutely! Be sure to trim all papers to fit, glue/tape all handouts down securely, always label everything, color things when it is appropriate (maps, diagrams, etc.), and highlight important headers and facts so they are easy to find. This notebook is essential to your success on exams… use it to your advantage by keeping it organized!
