Website Launch October 24, 2013 Member Meeting Website Launch October 24, 2013 Today marks the launch of our new website! It has been designed to provide ample opportunities for you to share and learn about best practices, and to network with The Action Group and with your colleagues more effectively.

Employers need action The Action Group delivers “We are at a crossroads; on the verge of a potential revolution in health care such as we’ve never seen. It’s time to renew the importance of the employer purchaser in determining: what role we have; how we should move into the future; and how we can get every, single Minnesotan to be at their maximum well-being. That’s a completely different concept than, ‘how do I minimize expenses by choosing different plans.’” Charlie Montreuil Affordable, predictable health care costs One of the features on the new website is our Storytelling section. This quote from Charlie sums up why we are beefing up the website – it is an effort to get Minnesota purchasers working together and moving ahead confidently. READ QUOTE, THEN MOVE TO NEXT SLIDE…

What’s so important about a website? Employers need action The Action Group delivers What’s so important about a website? Our research revealed the need for change Many research participants were: Unaware of our key initiatives Didn’t know how or why to get involved Were unfamiliar with our extensive resources A contemporary communication channel, supplemented by social networking, is the most effective way to attract and retain members Affordable, predictable health care costs We didn’t just decide one day that the website needed a facelift. We conducted significant research with legacy, new and potential members; payers; providers; and brokers and consultants, among others, to determine how we could deliver superior value, and serve as a trusted go-to resource. We learned that many people were unclear about The Action Group’s mission and vision, and most were: unaware of our key initiatives; didn’t know how or why to get involved; and didn’t know about the extensive resources that are available through The Action Group. We’re ready to clear things up! We also knew that to support our membership growth goals and to stay in regular touch with members, we needed to create a contemporary communication channel and add social networking options to our outreach strategy. [SHOW THE SITE FOR THE FIRST TIME; GO THROUGH HIGH-LEVEL NAVIGATION BRIEFLY.]

Coordinating issues on behalf of and with members In these very uncertain times for health care purchasers, we know that our members are challenged by an array of confusing, competing and compelling issues, and we want to make sure they know what The Action Group is working on and how we can help.

Let’s do together what no single organization can do alone The new website is very intuitive, allowing purchasers to see how complex issues are being resolved through The Action Group, and how they can contribute to resolving them even further.
