Volume Castle Project By Dante Huaman

Minecraft Planning Pictures

Castle scale Scale Factor 1:24 Scale Size 1.5 inches = Real Size

Volume by section The side of each cube is 1.5 in. Volume = length x width x height. Therefore, the volume of one cube is 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5, or 3.375 in.3. The volume of each section equals the number of blocks times the volume of 1 block. Section Color Number of Blocks Volume of 1 Block Volume of Section Red 6 3.375 in.3 20.25 in.3 Magenta 16 54 in.3 Yellow Blue 8 27 in.3 Green

Volume of the castle V = volume of one cube = 3.375 in.3. N = number of cubes. There are 54 cubes, so N = 54. V x N = total volume of the castle 3.375 x 54 = 182.25 in.3 is the total volume of the castle

Overall experience I will be talking about the best, worst and most challenging parts of my Volume Castle. The best part I experienced was planning in Minecraft. I blew up the original castle with TNT in Minecraft because it was a few blocks off. The worst part was it was extremely boring making the paper cubes for the castle. The most challenging part was finding out what boxes to use. There were not many options for boxes, so I just used origami cubes. However, that lead to the worst part because I had to make a lot of cubes. Despite the long time it took to make the cubes, putting them together was like playing with wood blocks.
