COMPUTER EDUCATION Information and Communication School Scheme Setting up of computer laboratories in High & High Secondary Schools. Computer Education a compulsory assessment subject. Provision of Hardware, Software, consumables, unlimited Internet connectivity etc. Provision of qualified teaching services.

Edunet Free Personal Computers for students of Std. XI with necessary hardware & software Emphasis on skill upgradation and training for employment Vehicle for Tele Medicine, Tele Banking, Tele Tourism and e-learning of the entire family. The Scheme has been introduced in 2002 and about 75,000 students and homes have benefited from it.

Laptop Scheme For Teachers Interest Free loan of Rs 40,000 for each teacher to purchase a laptop Exposure to the internet for self-enrichment and for classroom transaction.

SCHEME FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS Financial assistance to students in schools towards personal equipment, stationary, uniforms, Travelling Allowance and Escort Allowance. Financial assistance to special and regular schools to promote and conduct activities for the differently-abled children. Special schools receive salary and non-salary grants like regular schools. Resource room concept - provision of special teachers – resource room equipment. Home tutoring. Also covers vocational training, hostel facilities, teachers training, early detection of disabilities beneficiaries

INFRASTRUCTURE Infrastructure Loan cum Grant Scheme For government Aided Institutions for upgradation and reinforcement of school infrastructure Grants range from Rs. 12 to Rs. 60 Lakhs.

Special One Time Grant given to Schools celebrating Centenary / Platinum Jubilee. 50 lakhs on completion of 100 years and 25 lakhs for lakhs on completion of 100 years and 25 lakhs for 75 years. years. Integrated School Educational Complexes Groups of schools would form a complex having common facilities. RAJIV GANDHI MERITORIOUS STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP Cash Prizes of Rs. 4,000/-, Rs. 3,000/- & Rs. 2,000/- to the students standing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in each Higher Secondary School in the Goa Board Examination. Cash Prizes of Rs. 3,000/-, Rs. 2,000/- & Rs. 1,000/- to the students standing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in each Secondary School in the Goa Board Examination.

WORK EDUCATION Vocational and Pre-Vocational Schemes Aimed at curbing dropouts and creating areas of self employability 15 Vocational courses in 45 Higher Secondary Schools. Pre-Vocational courses started in 10 High Schools.

Work Education Under RMSA Students were exposed to works of professionals / farmers / artisans. Students were trained in Horticulture / Agriculture / Carpentry / Plumbing / Electrical Repairs/ Pottery. Both theory and practicals were given importance.
