CERNER MILLENNIUM PCP Designation In a residency setting, especially in Primary Care, a patient’s Primary Care Physician (PCP) may change fairly often as residents come & go. Here’s how to set or edit the PCP. This has been prepared using Millennium base code level 2015.01.13 & mPage 6.0; various package updates & aspects of mPage 6.3 have also been installed. Subsequent updates may display cosmetic & functional changes. Use the keyboard or mouse to advance.
On many tabs, or mPages, you’ll see a Follow Up component, especially ambulatory workflow & inpatient discharge mPages. Navigate to that, then click on the current PCP. (Sometimes instead you may see a notice that there is no PCP; if so, select that.)
Click Replace PCP.
Start to type the new PCP’s last name, & results will appear Start to type the new PCP’s last name, & results will appear. You’ll find both USA & community providers available. Unfortunately, you’ll probably only see one name at a time, since each name is followed by a long list of addresses. Either add a comma then type the first name to narrow the search, or click the scroll bar.
Select the desired name.
Then click Apply.
The updated PCP appears. To see it also updated on the Banner Bar, click the Refresh icon.
