Assessment Assessment is the systematic collection of information about student learning to inform decisions about how to improve learning and academic programs. WCC uses three types of information – direct indicators, indirect indicators, and institutional data – to assess student learning at the college, program, and course levels. AMK

Develop quality responses to the data and questions presented in the PIP/DIP process. Use data to better know their students and develop informed teaching strategies. Write a well-developed data request. Analyze data resulting from course outcomes assessment process. Provide leadership in discipline/department/program in interpreting and utilizing data. Write well-developed, data-informed professional plans, which include benchmarks for success at the individual and discipline/program level. Present data in a variety of formats that are readable and understandable. AMK
