Pan means “all, completely, whole or general” Root: PAN Pan means “all, completely, whole or general”

Panacea Definition: A remedy for all ills or difficulties. Sentence: The doctor discovered a panacea to help the townspeople.

Pandemonium Definition: A wild uproar or commotion. Sentence: When Williston-Elko beat Barnwell the crowd broke into Pandemonium.

Panegyric Definition: A formal speech or statement giving high praise to someone or something. Sentence: Hillary Clinton gave a panegyric when she put her support behind Obama.

Panoply Definition: (1) A magnificent or impressive array. (2) A display of all appropriate accessory items. Sentence: The full panoply of a presidential debate was an exciting sight.

Extra places words outside or beyond their usual or routine territory. Root: Extra Extra places words outside or beyond their usual or routine territory.

Extramundane Definition: Situated in or relating to a region beyond the material world. Sentence: God is considered an extramundane authority to a lot of people.

Extrapolate Definition: To extend or project facts or data into an area not known in order to make assumptions or to predict facts or trends. Sentence: When working on a research paper, it is a good idea to extrapolate ideas from outside resources.

Extrovert Definition: A person mainly concerned with things outside him- or herself; a sociable and outgoing person. Sentence: Being a complete extrovert, the boy was always surrounded by friends.

Extraneous Definition: (1) Existing or coming from the outside. (2) Not forming an essential part; irrelevant. Sentence: When writing, try to keep out extraneous information, keep to the point.

Nec/Nic/Nox Nec/Nic/Nox has to do with killing or slaying. It is also related to the word “corpse.”

Internecine Definition: (1) Deadly; mutually destructive. (2) Involving conflict within a group. Sentence: The zombie invasion caused a internecine struggle within the city.

Necrosis Definition: The usually localized death of living tissue. Sentence: Many medications can lead to the necrosis of the liver after long term use.

Noxious Definition: Harmful to or destructive of living things. Sentence: The fumes coming from the back of the car were incredibly noxious to people passing by.

Pernicious Definition: Extremely harmful or destructive. Sentence: Smoking is considered incredibly pernicious to your health.
