Areas of Environmental Concern in Livestock

Area 1 – Water Biochemical Oxygen Demand

Area 1 – Water Fecal Coliform And Fecal Streptococcus

Area 1 – Water Suspended Solids

Area 1 – Water Ammonia and Phosphorus

Area 2 – Gases and Odors

Area 3 – Dairy and Feedlot Runoff

Area 4 – Raw Manure

Popcorn Question Time This is caused by snow melt or rainfall. Anaerobic bacteria can cause this area of environmental concern. These two gases cause algae to grow in ponds and streams. Soil contamination and odors can be caused by this area.
