Today is No Pens Day Wednesday!

What’s that?

It’s a whole day where we won’t use any pens; we’re not writing things down, but using our talking and listening all day. No to writing and Yes to talking and listening!

So far 3,600 schools have done No Pens Day Wednesday! It happens once a year – although some schools love it so much, they do it lots more! Schools all over the country will be doing it too. So far 3,600 schools have done it.

But what is No Pens Day Wednesday for?

We’re taking part in No Pens Day Wednesday because talking and listening are really important.

Before bringing up images, ask if any students have their own ideas as to why listening and talking are really important skills to have – imagine the things we wouldn’t be able to do if we couldn’t communicate with other people? So what is going to happen?

Some things might be quite different! At the end of the lessons, you can say what you liked and what you didn’t like.

At the end of the day, we’ll find out what everyone thinks about No Pens Day Wednesday – do you think it will be a thumbs up or a thumbs down?
