מנוע סטירלינג

שינויי לחצים של כמות קבועה של גז הכלוא במיכל בעל נפח קבוע. עקרון הפעולה שינויי לחצים של כמות קבועה של גז הכלוא במיכל בעל נפח קבוע. מאפיינים של הגז החיוניים לפעולת מנוע הסטרלינג. חימום כמות קבועה של גז במיכל בעל נפח קבוע - יעלה את הלחץ במיכל. הגדלת לחץ הגז במיכל, תוך כדי דחיסה והקטנת נפח המיכל, תגרום להעלאת הטמפרטורה.

ארבעה שלבים למעגל סטרלינג 1.חימום הגז בצילינדר גורם להגדלת הלחץ. שמאלץ את הבוכנה לנוע. זהו החלק במעגל שיוצר את העבודה. 2. בזמן שהבוכנה מתחילה לנוע כלפי מעלה הבוכנה השנייה נעה כלפי מטה. מהלך זה דוחף את הגז החם אל תוף הצילינדר הקר, שבמהירות מקרר את הגז לטמפרטורת המקורית וכך ופחית חזרה את הלחץ. מהלך זה מקל על הדחיסה לשלב הבא. 3 הבוכנה של הצילינדר הקר מתחילה לדחוס את הגז. 4. בזמן שהבוכנה מתחילה לנוע כלפי מטה ודוחסת את הגז הקר חזרה לצילנדר החם חוזרת הבוכנה המקבילה לנוע חזרה מעלה. כך התהליך ממשיך http://auto.howstuffworks.com/stirling-engine1.htm

1. Power piston (dark grey) has compressed the gas, the displacer piston (light grey) has moved so that most of the gas is adjacent to the hot heat exchanger. 2. The heated gas increases in pressure and pushes the power piston to the farthest limit of the power stroke. 3. The displacer piston now moves, shunting the gas to the cold end of the cylinder. 4. The cooled gas is now compressed by the flywheel momentum. This takes less energy, since when it cooled its pressure dropped. Beta type Stirling. Animated version. Note the Power piston lags the Displacer piston by 90o. In this design the displacer piston shaft passes through the power piston in a sealing device.

שלב ב' גז חם נדחס אל הצילינדר הקר, מניע את הבוכנה מעלה. בשלב נוצרת ה"עבודה"

שלב ג': הגז בצילינדר הקר מתקרר והלחץ בצילינדר קטן.

שלב ד': כשהבוכנה הקרה למטה , הגז בצילינדר החם מעלה את הלחץ, ואת הבוכנה והתהליך מתחיל שוב.
