A Song of Celebration Psalm 149
How often do you celebrate? How often do you celebrate God?
How often do you celebrate. How often do you celebrate God How often do you celebrate? How often do you celebrate God? Our desire for God and delight in our salvation should cause us to celebrate.
Psalm 149:1 Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the congregation of the godly ones.
Psalm 149:2–3 Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King. Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre
Psalm 149:4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.
John 15:1–2,8 I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. . . . My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
Psalm 149:5–6 Let the godly ones exult in glory; Let them sing for joy on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,
Psalm 149:7–8 To execute vengeance on the nations And punishment on the peoples, To bind their kings with chains And their nobles with fetters of iron,
Psalm 149:9 To execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones. Praise the Lord!
