Why is geographical enquiry important? It is an approach to learning which involves students in making sense of information for themselves 2. It acknowledges that geographical knowledge is not ‘out there’ as some absolute reality , but that it has been constructed by geographers 3. It has the potential to give students more control over their learning

Enquiry….. “The first key to wisdom is constant questioning …. By doubting we are led to enquiry and by enquiry we discern the truth.” Peter Aberland 1079-1142
