Regret, forget, remember, try, stop TO or ING? What´s the difference in meaning?

I regret saying that to him. He left me. I regret to inform you that you´re very sick. Regret before you say. You said something you´re sorry.

FORGET I´ll never forget taking my son to school for the first time. I forgot to send the e-mail You didn´t do something. You won´t forget it.

REMEMBER Remember to call me! Bye. I remember closing the door. You did something. Later you remember it. You must remember to call.
