Creating a graphic aid False Explanations

Purpose Not to draw reader’s attention from the content, but to aid in their understanding. Reinforce a definition, explanation, cause/ effect relationship, comparison, location, etc.

Page through the magazines and find one example of a graphic aid. National Geographic Page through the magazines and find one example of a graphic aid. Be prepared to discuss what the article is about, what type of graphic aid it is, and what concept it is reinforcing.

Your graphic aids… Can be hand drawn or created with some sort of technology. Can be placed at the beginning of your false explanation, in the middle, or at the end. Need to reinforce some key concept in your explanation.
