Enlightenment Salon THE GREAT DEBATE

During the Enlightenment many thinkers would gather to share their thoughts on topics such as government, art, society, and religion. Intellectuals who attended these gatherings often wrote about the ideas that they discussed there, thus spreading those ideas to others. Using your Enlightenment charts (filled out yesterday) you will simulate an Enlightenment salon and debate issues through the point of a view of your enlightenment philosopher. What is a Salon?

What is the purpose of government?

Is there such a thing as natural rights?

What happens if the government denies Natural Rights

Are people naturally good?
