Op art, short for optical art, is a style of visual art that uses optical illusions.

Op art works are abstract, with many better known pieces created in black and white

Op Art Typically, they give the viewer the impression of movement, hidden images, flashing and vibrating patterns, or of swelling or warping.

Here are some really cool real life optical illusions

Op Art Our final art work will not be as large or real life as those, but they will still be fun, and something you can do at home too!

First Op Art Assignment Watch the following video for directions for the first assignment. Stop at 7 minutes 8 seconds.
