0 minute At time zero the earth just formed. Although it was previously thought that water first appeared on earth at 3.8 billion years ago, recent evidence show that the earth was cool enough to support water and life as early as 4.6 billion year ago. 4600 Ma 5 min

286 sec 4 min 46 sec 4400 Ma 4 min 46 sec

247 sec or 4 min 7 sec It is only nearly one minute after the formation of the earth that the first form of life (uni-cellular organism) first appeared on earth. It is at the same time that the sun was fainter by 30% than it was today… 3800 Ma 4 min 7 sec

163 sec or 2 min 43 sec It is only in the middle of the earth history that the first multi cellular life form appeared. 2500 Ma 2 min 43 sec

42 sec … and in the last 40 sec of the earth history that the earth is believed to have been covered by snow….. During that time multi cellular life continued to exist and… 650 Ma 42 sec

35 sec … once more favorable conditions return, shell fish and early species of fish started to appear… 540 Ma 35 sec

23.5 Large primitive trees and the first reservoir of coal formed by burial or organix matter only formed 25 second ago… 360 Ma 23.5 sec

18 sec until 4.3 sec … 5 sec later (at 18 sec), the Pangea super continent was breaking up and we witnessed the appearance of the first dinosaur. The dinosaurs became extinct 14 sec later at 4.3 sec and were replaced by the first mammal… 280 Ma 4.3 sec

0.2 sec Then came the first primitive human being 0.2 sec ago…. Only to be followed by the… 3 Ma 0.2 sec
