2016-17 Club Foundation Banner Recognition 100% Every Rotarian, Every Year Club 100% of dues-paying members give $100 per capita to Annual Fund Every member must give at least $25 100% Foundation Giving Club $100 per capita to any TRF fund Every member must give at least $25 100% Paul Harris Society Club 100% of dues-paying members gives $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus Fund, or an approved Foundation grant. Speaking Points This new banner structure is designed to be more inclusive so that donors can give the amount that works for them to the areas they feel most passionately about. Last year was a transition year with the intent to simplify banner recognition. While the sustaining member recognition is very important (and achievable) in Zone 33, in many parts of the Rotary world over two thirds of members don’t give to the Foundation. We hope that this new structure will attract new donors. “Sustaining Member” as an individual recognition is not going away and not changing – sustaining member badge stickers are available on shop.rotary.org. Rationale The Fund Development Committee created a Recognition Working Group tasked with streamlining and simplifying TRF recognition. As part of this process, they conducted an informal survey to identify gaps and overlaps in banner recognition. One of the insights from the survey was that there was confusion between EREY and Sustaining Member, but that EREY was the better understood of the two. In light of this information, the Trustees decided to sunset sustaining member banners in the 2016-17 Rotary Year. The EREY/Sustaining Member Banner that was available in the 2015-16 Rotary Year was intended as a incremental transition toward the 100% EREY Banner. While this change may not be ideal for your area, it is important to keep in mind that the Fund Development Committee is responsible for considering the needs of donors around the world. After careful consideration, they decided that this was the best option.

2015-16 Club Foundation Banners EREY/100% Sustaining Member 100 of dues-paying members give $100 or more to Annual Fund 100% Foundation Giving Club 100% of dues-paying members give $100 per capita to any TRF fund This slide shows the standards for measuring 2015-16 banners which will be available in November. It’s good to acknowledge the changes but best to focus on everyone knowing what the rules are today.
